The Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation started in the year 2001 with an under graduate programme "Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering". The programme aims at the development and implementation of electronics instruments for the purpose of measuring, monitoring and recording.

M .G. University, Kottayam, Kerala with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. The programme aims at producing highly qualified manpower in Civil Engineering to meet the rapid techonological advances and industrial requirements.
Division of Computing Sciences laid its foundation stone in the year 2001 with the commencement of a B. Tech. programme in Computer Science and Engineering. Later, in 2004 Division of Computing Sciences bifurcated, and Department of Computer Science and Engineering came into existence.

Tech. programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 180 students in 3 batches and M. Tech programmes, viz. VLSI and Embedded Systems

The Department of Mathematics was made an independent Department on 22nd June 2020 in order to promote research activities and inter disciplinary projects. The Department offers various courses in Mathematics in the B.Tech and M.Tech programmes.
