Psychological Counselling Services at RSET
Modern societal shifts, including changes in family structures, evolving value systems, the pervasive influence of social media, rising academic pressures, shifting attitudes, and peer dynamics, have created an environment where adolescents and young adults face unprecedented levels of stress. Often, they find themselves unsure of where to turn for help.
At Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology (RSET), we uphold the vision of holistic excellence for our students. In alignment with this vision, the Student Welfare Office (SWO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the psychological well-being of students while addressing their grievances. Whether the challenges are academic, personal, interpersonal, or familial, the SWO provides timely and compassionate support to those in need. The office is led by Dr. Silvy Mathew, an expert with a Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work.
Procedure for Seeking Help
Students requiring assistance can access the SWO through various channels. Referrals may come from parents, teachers, friends, guardians, hostel wardens, or any individual concerned about a student’s well-being. Students are also welcome to approach the SWO directly.
