The CSI Student Branch of Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) was established in 2009 with an initial membership of 130 students. Currently, the branch has grown to 352 members, with the objective of inculcating professionalism among students specializing in CS, IT, AI&DS, and CSBS. The branch aims to strengthen technological advancements in the fields of computer science, engineering, technology, and information processing.
The CSI Student Branch promotes professional interactions to exchange views, share information, and discuss innovative ideas. It regularly conducts professional meetings, technical presentations, symposiums, competitions, and workshops focusing on the latest technological trends. The branch has successfully organized two annual student conventions during its tenure. Events such as Digital College,  Idea Presentation, and Mini Project Exhibition are among the thought-provoking competitions conducted under its banner. These initiatives foster an environment conducive to holistic skill development and collaborative learning, enriching the academic experience of its members at RSET.
In addition to these efforts, the branch has introduced the monthly "Coder of the Month" event, a tradition that has been upheld for several years. This event provides a platform for students to showcase their coding skills and enhance their problem-solving abilities. Another notable event organized by the branch is "Homecoming Week," a series of engaging activities designed exclusively for first-year students to welcome them into the CSI community. Following the success of last year’s event, this year’s "Homecoming Week 2.0" introduced new activities and opportunities for first-year students to integrate into the vibrant RSET CSI community.
Through its diverse activities and dynamic leadership, the CSI Student Branch of RSET remains a cornerstone for technological excellence and professional growth. It continues to create a positive impact by nurturing talent, fostering innovation, and building a strong community of aspiring technologists.
