Welcome to the Department of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology! Our department was established in the year 2001.
In many nations, there are numerous work prospects in the Electronics and Instrumentation industry. But the reality is that this field needs more engineers. In the early 1970s, Instrumentation Engineering emerged as a distinct field of study. This topic has connections to several fields of engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Chemical. With an emphasis on cutting-edge technology and innovation, our department is committed to provide a top-notch education in the field of Applied Electronics and Instrumentation engineering.
With the help of our curriculum, students will graduate with a solid foundation in electronics, instrumentation, automation, and control systems as well as practical knowledge and experience. With their vast knowledge and experience, our distinguished faculty members are dedicated to providing high-quality instruction and promoting an academic excellence culture.
Each significant industry, including those in the iron ore, oil, petrochemical, power, and military, has its own instrumentation department. Instrumentation engineers with professional training handle each one of them. The industries of textile, pharmaceutical, metallurgy, automotive, marine, and aerospace all depend on the expertise of instrumentation engineers. The field of biomedicine also has a lot of work for instrumentation engineers. Robotic technology has ushered in significant advances across many industries. Robot maintenance is essential for industrial automation. The field of robot manufacturing and operation greatly benefits from the expertise of instrumentation engineers. Instrumentation engineers now have various options because to the expansion of automation both domestically and internationally. All manufacturing and industrial sectors, including the oil and gas industry, aerospace, petrochemicals, the food industry, thermal power plants, steel plants, automakers, refineries, and cement producers, provide plenty of job prospects. Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB, Larson & Turbo, Robert Bosch, Invensis, etc. are the prominent companies working in this field.
Modern laboratories, cutting-edge facilities, and a supportive learning atmosphere are all features of our department that help students succeed in their academic endeavours. We also provide chances for co-curricular and extracurricular activities, as well as technical groups and societies, so that students can pursue their interests and further their skills outside of the classroom. Rajagiri places a high priority on research and innovation, encouraging both teachers and students to work on cutting-edge research projects and stay up to date with the most recent developments in the industry. In order to give our students real-world experience and to facilitate internships, workshops, and seminars, we also encourage collaboration with industry partners. This way, we can make sure that they are prepared for the workplace and may succeed in their professions. Along with academics, we place a strong focus on character development, moral principles, professionalism, and leadership qualities to help our students become well-rounded people who can contribute to their fields of study.
If studying Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering branch, after the course you can switch to any field in Computers, Electronics and Instrumentation.
