B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science is a specialization of Computer Science and Engineering concerned with methods to make computers or machines intelligent. This programme introduced in the year 2020 at Rajagiri School of Engineering &Technology ( Autonomous ) as a 4 years course at the UG level, aims at developing the technical skills of students to perform Information System: design, acquisition, storage and retrieval, plays a major role in various real-world applications to infer intelligent decision making based on data acquired through various electro-mechanical devices. The term “AI” is used so often nowadays that we have a basic understanding of what it means: a computer’s ability to perform tasks such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and language translation.
Artificial Intelligence has progressed rapidly over the last few years. It is one of the most demanding courses in today’s world as it has excellent career opportunities in various sectors, such as IT and IT-enabled service industries, banking, government agencies, business, telecommunication, e-commerce, healthcare, climatology, social networking companies, biotechnology, genetics, research and development, insurance, aerospace, and many more. The need for more optimized algorithms, irrespective of the application area, demands experts in AI-based technologies, which leads to opportunities for programmers, AI Infrastructure specialists, and entrepreneurs.
