Details of the Event
Organised by
Nirmana in association with Department of Civil Engineering
Description
Demonstrating work on local and international projects using VR allows clients and stakeholders to immerse themselves in realistic 3D environments, experiencing design concepts and spatial layouts before construction begins. VR technology enables users to explore every detail of a project, whether it's a small local building or a large international development, enhancing understanding and decision-making. This approach not only impresses clients with innovative presentation methods but also improves collaboration, reduces design errors, and ensures smoother project execution across diverse geographic locations. The session is handled by Mr Akhil Babu (Technical Head, SOLIDCAD) and Mr Rahul Ramachandran (Director, SOLIDCAD). The event is conducted for 3rd year Civil Engineering Students.

Need
The need for VR experience in project demonstrations stems from the growing demand for more engaging, immersive, and precise presentations in both local and international contexts. VR enables clients and stakeholders to visualize complex designs in full scale, providing clarity that traditional 2D plans or renderings cannot offer. This technology helps reduce misunderstandings, accelerates decision-making, and ensures alignment across teams, ultimately leading to more efficient and successful project outcomes.
