Every year, on June 26th, we observe the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. This significant day serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against drug abuse worldwide. This year, the chosen theme is 'People First: Stop Stigma & Discrimination, Strengthen Prevention', emphasizing the importance of prioritizing individuals affected by drug abuse, eradicating stigma and discrimination, and reinforcing preventive measures.
Recognizing the alarming rate of drug abuse among the youth in our country, the Student Welfare Office in association with the IQAC of RSET has taken a proactive initiative. Our aim is to unite the entire student community of the college in taking a resolute stand against drug abuse.
To symbolize our commitment and solidarity, we have scheduled a special event for Friday, June 30th, 2023, during the designated activity hour. During this time, the mentors of each class will lead the students in reciting a pledge against drug abuse. Each student will be asked to extend their right hand forward as they repeat the pledge, signifying their personal dedication to this cause. Mentors, kindly take a printed copy of the pledge attached with this mail to the classes.
