Description
Department of mathematics, Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology, is conducting an 8-weeks certificate course on Topological Data analysis, from 10th January onwards. Most of the classes would be pre-recorded videos, also there will be online live classes on Saturdays as doubt clearing sessions. There will be weekly assessments alongside. You need to get 75% in each assessment to get the course certificate.

Topological data analysis is an approach to the analysis of datasets using techniques from topology. Some of the notable successes (such as the identification of a new type of breast cancer, or the discovery of new basketball playing positions) in recent years have earned praise from the industry. The goal of TDA is therefore to develop novel methods that can reliably capture geometric or topological information (connectivity, loops, holes, curvature, etc) from the data without the need for an explicit mapping to lower-dimensional space.
