Highlights

  • Curriculum Management, the project done to automate the code generation for courses and thus effortlessly create and deploy it in academics.  The team behind Curriculum Management is Abhiram M Prasad (S7 IT), Anusree Samson(S7 IT), Mohammed Thameem( S7 IT), Saurav Anil (S7 IT), Dr Neeba E A (Faculty in charge, HoD, DIT) from the Department of Information Technology and coordinated by  Dr Jibin Noble(DME) and Prof. Kuttyamma A J (DIT). 

  • Mr. Nithin S.(S7 IT),Ms. Mary Mishal Francis(S7 IT), Ms. Rose P. Jose(S7 IT), Mr. Yadu Krishnan S(S7 IT) and Mr. Mathews Abraham(Faculty in charge, DIT) received RSET Research Seed Money of Rs. 20,000/- during the academic year 2023-24, for their final year project “Sign-ify: Road Sign Detection System”.

  • Minal Sara Vinod and Stesha Sibi Philip of S5 CU bagged first prize for Table Tennis Girls in DZone held at FISAT on 2nd November, 2023 and secured third position in Zonal competition held at GEC, Kannur on 14th November, 2023.

  • Abel James (S5 IT) had secured 1st prize in D zone handball tournament in inter collage D zone handball competition 2023.

  • Ananth Arul (S5 IT), Ruben Abraham Binu (S5 IT) and Jacob Sebastian (S5 IT) won 3rd prize and received an amount of Rs. 1000 in the Colosseum Capture, a state level competition organized by IEEE RSET in 2023.

  • Kevin peter (S3 IT) had secured 2nd prize in badminton D zone and 4th Prize in Interzone badminton competition 2023.

  • Adith S (S3 IT) was the runner up of the Kho-Kho D zone competition held in 2023.

  • Sutheerth A(S3 IT) had secured first prize in Hand ball D zone competition.

  • R Balagopal(S3 IT) had secured 2nd prize for Campus Ambassador in the Tech Fest conducted by Saingits college of Engineering, Pathamuttam.

  • Joseph Jojy Chirayath secured the Seventh University Rank in KTU in 2021

  • Megha Manuel is One among the top two percentage of all the successful candidates of B. Tech Degree Information Technology in 2021.

  • Mary Mishal Francis received Third prize - Create Art’ Competition organized as part of the Virtual Tech-fest ORION 2.0 conducted by IEEE PES Women in Power Community in association with IEEE PES Kerala Chapter conducted on 27 to 31 May 2021

  • Arjun Sunil Kumar  received 1st place- Fixit- Tackle the crisis hosted by IEEE Travancore Hub in association with IEEE Kerala Section SIGHT on 18 April 2021.He also received Outstanding Student Volunteer Award- Presented by IEEE Kerala Section on 29 January 2021.

  • Thundiparambil Antony Clinton, Vishnu Pradeep, Thejus Paul was the Finalist- SDG Quest (Social Ideathon), Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, New Delhi - BVEST 2020 (Tech. Fest)

  • Ridha Firoz won the First position - Logo Designing (AURA) organized by WIE AG, Women in PJwer of PES chapter, Women in computing of CS chapter of IEEE SCT student branch and IEEE Link conducted on 13 September 2020

  • Overall 2nd,4th,5th ,10th  positions in KTU S8 Results (2016-20).

  • Karthik Menon, Jim Thomas, Kevin Thomas, Denil Titus  received the Special Jury Mention at ICTAK Techathlon, 2020

  • Enfa Rose George received the Best Paper Award- “Virtual Conference Abacon’20 (Abacus Conference)”, Sahrdaya College of Engineering and Technology in June 2020

  • Overall 4th and 8th positions in KTU S8 Results (2015-19).

  • Alan Francis Cheeramvelil and Reiyo participated in Foreign Technical Immersion Program (Swinburne University Sarawak Campus) from 9 September - 15 September 2019.

  • Hail Mary Abraham participated in Sakura Exchange Program by Japan Science and Technology Agency from 04-03 2019 to 15-03-2019

  • 3 highly equipped laboratories with high speed Internet access that allow students to develop projects. Cognizant has sponsored the Ulysses Advanced Computing Lab to help students up skill themselves and be more equipped towards the placement drives.

  • The Department has partnered with TCS to introduce a B.Tech in Computer Science and Business Systems program. Being a program partnered with TCS gives the students a wide range of benefits from being eligible for the interviews at TCS that offer the highest compensation package for any fresher in the company to being able to procure internships and attend skill development programs by TCS.
