Dr. Diana
Joe K completed her graduation in English language and literature from P.S.G.R
Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, and her M.A from Loyola College
Chennai. She completed her MPhil from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, and
her Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Her area of research is
Ecocriticism.
Her doctoral
thesis “Unearthing the Green in Man: An Ecopsychological Reading of the select
novels of Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai and Amitav Ghosh” analyses how human
beings affect and are being affected by the non-human life around them. It also
shows how ecopsychology
helps to reshape modern psychology by advocating that humans cannot stand alone
without an intimate connection with Nature.She passed cert TESOL
(Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language) offered by
Trinity College London with an A grade. She has attended the Master Class for
IELTS Trainers offered by the British Council that provides a deep insight into
the four components of English Language LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and
Writing).
