Soul
SOUL- Skills onto Uplifting Life, is a social service cell under Department of Electronics and communication engineering. Soul activities focus on uplifting the quality of human lives and to meet the vision, the cell organize Technical programs, awareness programme, reaching the unreached, expert talks, inculcating human values, are some of the areas the cell have got strong footprint. Both faculty members and students are part of this cell.

 SOCIAL OUTREACH ACTIVITIES BY SOUL (2022-23)

  1. S.O.U.L. (Skills Onto Uplifting Lives), the community service cell of DEC, RSET in association with Electronauts, DEC conducted a session on “Basic Life Support & First Aid For Common Emergency” for final year students on 22nd  March 2023.

SOCIAL OUTREACH ACTIVITIES BY SOUL (2021-22)
1.Social outreach programme to help the school students by providing technical support for smart class was conducted on 26-03-2022 at      MAAM LP School. The beneficiaries were LP school students, Thrikkakara.  Ms. Ajitha Thanakapan, Chair person, Thrikkakara Muncipality received the computers for the school from the Dr. Rithu James , HoD, Department of ECE, Rajagiri School of Engineering & Technology.

2. ETY- empowerment Talk for Youth was organized on 08-03-2022 for S8 ECE students. The venue for the event was Multimedia Hall. Ms. Vrindadevi N. R., Deputy Collector & Ms. Reshma Sebastian were the resource persons. The need for education and how to attain self-independency was the topic.

SOCIAL OUTREACH ACTIVITIES BY SOUL (2020-21)

  1. Gadget usage awareness program conducted on 16-04-2021 was aimed at empowering the women and enabling them to use the gadgets easily and securely. The event was organized for the women working at Ayalkootam, Vazhakkala. The students of ECE and staff of ECE went and gave the hands-on session.      


2          On 23-04-2021, an online event Expert talk on challenges and opportunities of cyber security was organized for S8 EC & CS students. Babitha B. P., chief information security officer of Catholic Syrian bank was the resource person and helped the students in identifying the cyber-attacks and how to avoid them.
