SAHYOG – A DEPARTMENT-LED SOCIAL INITIATIVE

Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology (RSET) proudly upholds its mission, ‘To impart state-of-the-art knowledge to individuals in various technological disciplines and to inculcate in them a high degree of social consciousness and human values, thereby enabling them to face the challenges of life with courage and conviction.’ Staying rooted to this motto, RSET always thrives to pursue its responsibility of developing social responsibility among the students in various ways. Apart from this, we acknowledge the students’ role as a member of society where they are required to consider numerous life issues critically and make decisions that are free from prejudice, superstition, and blind beliefs.
Given the current state of social awareness issues, it is imperative to give them proper attention and recognition. Despite numerous social challenges prevalent in our culture, the term "social awareness" remains unfamiliar to many.
To inculcate these principles, SAHYOG, a social venture by The Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities, was initiated to encourage teachers and students to participate in social work via institutional support.
