Distinguished Lecture

On the 17th of November, 2016 (Thursday)we have an invited talk by Dr. Raman Menon Unnikrishnan, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering College of Engineering and Computer Science, California State University, Fullerton.He is the Chair of the Committee for Engineering Accreditation Activities (CEAA), IEEE and a member of the Accreditation Committee for American Society for Engineering.

The talk entitled “A Random Walk in Engineering Education” focuses on engineering education as seen from a US perspective. Many technological innovations have been rapid, invasive and occasionally devastating to existing formats and cultures. The insidious effects of disruptive technologies affect skills and knowledge making engineering education focus more on continuous improvement and life-long learning, items accreditation bodies are now stressing more than ever.
