RECENT RESEARCH ADVANCES IN
GEOTECHNICAL & GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING

The Department of Civil Engineering is organizing a 6-Day Global Faculty Development Program on RECENT RESEARCH ADVANCES IN GEOTECHNICAL & GEOLOGICAL ENGINEERING on 17th August – 22nd August 2020, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm IST.

The FDP consists of 6 expert lectures to be delivered by eminent professors, researchers and industry experts of international repute. Each lecture encompasses broad research topics within the domains of both Geotechnical and Geological Engineering. The expertise level of the individual speaker in different realms is expected to harmonize the overall research enhancement in the fields of Geotechnical and Geological Engineering. In this FDP, there will be technical sessions on the following topics: -

  • Modelling and Computing in Geomechanics - Theory and Applications
  • Recent Developments in Geotechnical Engineering
  • New Paradigm in Geotechnical Performance Monitoring using Remote Sensing
  • Tracer Techniques for Studying Subsurface Fluid Flow Problems
  • Granular Drag Forces under Steady and Dynamic Loading
  • Geotechnical Challenges in Offshore Engineering
